Beacon reads the systems you already run. No data is migrated, and nothing in your systems is renamed, rewritten or moved. Billing is the only required source. Every other source extends coverage; none of them gate setup.

Billing, CRM, accounting and marketing together are typically five to six connections, and cover first touch through renewal with unit economics attached.

Authentication

You authenticate each connection inside the source tool’s own login screen — in Stripe, in HubSpot, in Xero. Beacon does not request, store, or complete a login on your behalf, during setup or afterwards. Access is withdrawn from the same place. See Boundaries for what that revocation guarantees.

Identity resolution

A customer in billing, a company in the CRM and a job in the ledger are commonly one organisation recorded three ways. Beacon reads each tool’s own fields, maps them to a shared vocabulary at connection time, and matches the records that describe the same company. Your systems keep their own field names and values.

Missing and degraded sources

Beacon does not substitute, estimate, or interpolate a value for an absent source.
