Beacon is the system a recurring-revenue company runs on. It reads the tools you already use, keeps one agreed set of numbers behind every conversation, and turns the target you committed to into something the whole company can steer by — every day, not once a quarter.

This documentation is being written

We are writing it alongside the product rather than after it, so that every page describes something that actually exists. It will cover:
  • How each number is calculated — the definition behind every figure, in plain language, versioned, and linked from the number itself inside the product.
  • Connecting your tools — what Beacon reads, what it needs, and what it does when a source is missing.
  • What Beacon writes back — the exact fields Beacon keeps current on your own records, in your own tools, and how to remove them.
  • Reading Beacon from your own systems — how your BI, your automations and the AI you already run can read Beacon’s figures, with the definition and freshness attached to every value.
  • Where the boundaries are — what Beacon will never do, what an outside reader can never see, and how to revoke access.
Until then, the product site is the best description of what Beacon does.
